On our Social Psychology MSc, you'll have the chance to join our Social Psychology Research Group where you'll participate in discussions about research topics, findings and publications. You'll interact with experts who are actively researching areas of social psychology, among them:

  • Dr Fabio Fasoli examines how communication, language, and social media shape the way people see themselves and others. His research specifically focuses on LGBTQ+ and gender minorities.
  • Dr Erica Hepper researches individual differences in self-related emotions and motivations, exploring how narcissism, self-enhancement, and nostalgia influence interpersonal relationships, behaviour, and wellbeing.
  • Professor Harriet Tenenbaum studies how children and adolescents develop social, emotional, and moral understanding, focusing on their reasoning about rights, discrimination, gender, and cultural diversity.

You’ll also benefit from visits by external speakers who present their work and networking opportunities in our School of Psychology.

You’ll also have the option to take our Professional Skills Award to enhance your employability so that you can stand out in the employer selection process for internships, placements and graduate-level jobs.
