About
My research aims to examine how English teachers utilise generative AI to support personalised learning in listening and speaking skills for students. It focuses on teachers’ pedagogical practices and the influence of sociocultural factors on their attitudes towards using generative AI in their teaching.
An exploratory sequential mixed-methods design was used to collect and analyse data. The study began with qualitative interviews, which were collected and analysed to identify key themes and insights. These findings then informed the development of a questionnaire for the subsequent quantitative phase.
