Long courses

We offer stand-alone translation courses which are based on the modules from our MA programmes.

On the courses we provide ample opportunity for reflection and practice under the guidance of professional translators, interpreters and research-active academics who are at the forefront of their respective fields.

Our courses

Forging strong links between translation/interpreting practice and research has been at the heart of our vision and has gained our Centre the accolade of an excellent, internationally recognised translation studies hub.

Each of our masters degrees offers ample opportunities for reflection and practice under the guidance of professional translators, interpreters and research-active academics who are at the forefront of their respective fields, and who have made inroads into the critical understanding of technology, as well as into the quality, ethical, creative and social dimensions of the profession.

We are now in a unique position to push the envelope in training activities, with our unique stand-alone module offer. Applicants may choose to enrol on individual modules or a combination of modules from the list below.

Please check our current MA programmes if you are interested in doing a full course.

Note that all our in-person courses are taught on our Guildford campus.
