For staff and students
Free onsite tests for 'symptomatic' students and staff
Students and staff who are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 (however mild), can access a free Covid-19 test through our Rapid Response team and local testing facilities.
Report if you have symptoms, or you have been contact traced and told to self-isolate, or if you’re arriving from a non- exempt country.
Rapid Response team
Our Rapid Response team are able to advise, support your self-isolation, assist with scheduling a free test and let you know how and when you can return to campus safely after isolation.
Symptomatic testing and contact tracing helps to keep our community safe, by reducing the risks of transmission. The Rapid Response team is a key part of this.
You should self-isolate immediately and contact the Rapid Response team if you:
- develop symptoms (high temp/new continuous cough/loss of taste or smell), no matter how mild
- receive a positive Covid-19 test result
- have been contact traced and told to self-isolate
- are required to isolate due to arriving from a non-exempt country or a high-risk area.
Please note: At present, tests are only available for those with symptoms. If you are identified as a close contact, you are legally required to self-isolate. If you develop symptoms you can obtain a test.
