Who Is CIMA?
The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is the world's largest professional body of management accountants offering the most relevant accounting qualification for a career in business. Our qualification combines accounting, finance and management with the business skills needed to add real value to any organisation. CIMA prepares people for a career in business. It teaches skills for strategic advice, managing risk and making key decisions.
Session Content
The session aims at introducing the students to what CIMA offers to help with career development, career prospects and placement opportunities in the industry. It will be run by Antony Fletcher, CIMA Student Recruitment Manager.
The session is about employability and job application skills. Some areas to cover:
- Accounting and finance accreditation
- How to prepare for job applications (examples and procedures) in the UK
- How to be successful for a job role
- Psychometric tests: why employers use psychometric testing and what the tests look like
