Climate change stands as the most significant challenge of our era, necessitating a re-evaluation of the connection between finance and the tangible economy. Consequently, it is now crucial for both public and private financial sectors to facilitate the necessary transition towards a future that is sustainable and resilient for everyone. Although there have been increasing discussions on this subject (as summarised in Edmans and Kacperczyk, Review of Finance, 2022), certain gaps persist. To delve deeper into the advantages and disadvantages of sustainable finance and responsible investment, this workshop brings together researchers who are engaged with the pressing concerns, allowing us to explore the potential of public policies in promoting green finance and development.
