The Cowrie-Black Heart Foundation, in partnership with the University of Surrey, is offering full scholarships to support UK Black African and Caribbean heritage applicants from socio-economically under-represented backgrounds.

The Cowrie Scholarship Foundation (CSF), in partnership with the University of Surrey, is offering full scholarships to support Black African and Caribbean heritage applicants from socio-economically under-represented backgrounds. Applicants must be ordinarily resident in the UK and commencing undergraduate study in the academic year 2022/2023. The scholarships cover tuition fees and living costs. Eligibility criteria

  • You belong to a Black or Black mixed ethnic group.
  • You have a household income of less than £25,000 per annum or less.
  • You have been assessed as a 'home' student (paying £9,250 per year in tuition fees).
  • You have firmly accepted an offer of a place by the UCAS deadline on your first undergraduate full-time degree at the University of Surrey.
  • You have applied to your regional student finance authority (e.g. Student Finance England) for income assessed UK government financial support for 2022/23.
