Sociology scholarship 2020 entry
We are offering two scholarships of up to £3,000, to be awarded on a competitive basis to self-funding students accepting an offer of a place a postgraduate taught sociology courses for the academic year 2020/21.

We are pleased to be offering two scholarships worth up to £3,000, specifically for postgraduate taught students applying to study criminology or social research methods courses with us for the 2020/21 academic year. Eligible students will be self-funding and will have accepted an offer of a place on one of the following courses:
Eligibility criteria
To be automatically considered for the sociology scholarship 2020, you will need to apply to study any of the following courses before 26 June 2020, and be a self-funded UK/EU student with an IELTS score of 7.0 overall with 6.0 in each element:
How to apply
You will automatically be considered for the scholarship competition if you meet the eligibility criteria listed previously.
Eligible applications will be assessed on grounds of academic merit and the written information provided with the standard University application form.
Applications will be evaluated by a committee comprising postgraduate programme directors and the head of department or a nominated deputy.
The scholarship will be paid in the form of a fee remission of the appropriate amount, and will be open to both home and overseas students. Part-time students will be eligible to apply and, if successful, will receive a scholarship which is reduced pro-rata but may be continued for a second year of study subject to successful completion of the first year.
