New Guildford School of Acting shows on sale for Autumn 2022

The Guildford School of Acting (GSA) is set to open its doors to the public and give audiences a glimpse of future world-class acting talents, as part of their autumn production season.

GSA will put on six unique productions to be performed in November and December 2022.

Productions on offer include The Pirate Queen – which is likely to be performed in its entirety for the first time in the UK, as well as The Antipodes - a dark comedy by Pulitzer Prize winner, Annie Baker.

One of GSA’s productions, Once in a Lifetime, will also be piloting a new way of delivering audio-description for audiences in their venues, making this show suitable for people who are blind or visually impaired. Sennheiser Mobile Connect allows audiences to listen through their own device, using their own headphones and works through an easily downloadable free app.

This technology allows blind or visually impaired audience members to sit anywhere in the theatre, not just where the induction loop is installed. The audio described performance will take place on December 3rd 2022, at 2:30pm.

Dr Catherine McNamara, Head of GSA, said:

“As one of the UK’s leading conservatoires, GSA is truly delighted to welcome public audiences to the Guildford School of Acting for this exciting season showcasing our extraordinary students. As we launch our autumn season of shows and performances, please join us in celebrating the creativity of our students, and importantly, the inclusivity of our shows on offer. We hope to see you at one (or more) of our shows soon."

Tickets for all shows are on public sale via the GSA website
