Ravi Silva elected Fellow of the European Academy of Science

One of the world's leading carbon nanomaterials engineers, Professor Ravi Silva, has been elected Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences.  

Professor Silva, Director of the Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) at the University of Surrey, has significantly contributed to the field of carbon nanomaterials and engineering for over 30 years. His work has led to practical uses in various sectors, including space, medical, and energy industries.  

Professor Silva has also mentored over 200 PhD and postdoctoral researchers, many of whom now work in academia, industry, and government. 

The European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) is an independent international organisation that recognises top European scientists and fosters cross-border scientific collaboration and progress in Europe. It offers expert advice to enhance European research and societal development, operating independently from national bodies.
