"The LLM Law programme at the University of Surrey is extremely flexible and I enjoyed the freedom to shape my postgraduate experience in a manner consistent with my research interests."
"I chose the LLM on European Union Law because it was focused on constitutional matters, which has always intrigued me. The programme at the University of Surrey is extremely flexible and I enjoyed the freedom to shape my postgraduate experience in a manner consistent with my research interests.
I particularly liked the modules on offer and I would recommend to anyone applying for a Master’s programme to study the module options carefully and think about what you would like to study.
I enjoyed the essay based nature of the course as I was able to focus on research. The staff at the University were supportive, friendly and approachable and at the same time serious about their research areas.
I enjoyed living in accommodation at Manor Park throughout my year. The room was very comfortable and the environment helped me to concentrate on my studies. The Surrey Sports Park, which was only a short walk way, was excellent and had a great social life where I made good friends. The university is close to the town but at the same time near to the country side, which is absolutely fascinating. I used to go for walks or runs after a day of studying before meeting with friends and cooking together.
Following my LLM at Surrey, I did an internship at Amnesty International, International Secretariat, in London and obtained my practice qualification in Greece. At the moment, I am a doctoral researcher at King’s College London and a teaching assistant at the London School of Economics."
