"The course has been an amazing journey of learning through the incredibly high number of industry guest speakers and lecturers. Learning directly from experts within the aviation industry has been brilliant."
"I have always had a great interest in the aviation industry, so when I saw this course introduced at the University of Surrey it immediately captured my interest.
Being a graduate of Surrey's BSc (Hons) Tourism Management programme, I was confident that I wanted to continue with my studies at Surrey because of the friendly environment, prestigious reputation of the School of Hospitality and Tourism, and the diversity of cultures here. And so I researched about the contents of the course, spoke with the academics and applied.
From day one, when I met with the class and the staff, I had the feeling that this degree was going to be fascinating. Although there are only a small number of students in the class, there is a great diversity in our cultural backgrounds and everyone shares the same passion for the airline industry.
The course has been an amazing journey of learning, not only in theory but in practice through class activities and through the incredibly high number of industry guest speakers and lecturers. Learning directly from experts within the aviation industry has been amazing.
We study in an intensive style, which means we have all our classes for one module in one week, and then the rest of the month to prepare background reading and undertake our assignments.
This feels like being in a professional work environment, not only due to the time schedule of the lectures but also working to tight project deadlines, which exposes us to what a professional environment will be like.
I have enjoyed the interactive nature of every module. The fast-changing environment of the aviation industry means there is always something new to learn and discuss."
