Since graduating from Surrey I have worked in sea turtle rescue, hands-on marine mammal care, ocean conservation and biology education... We need passionate people in these fields, now more than ever!

My heavy involvement with StagTV to put course material into practice as well as my placement year at Dolby made it easy to choose my current career path.

I value the high level of knowledge I was able to acquire, and the warm, positive overall experience from my time here. It was a great combination of having fun and studying.

After returning from placement for my final year and getting to select more clinical modules, I knew that I wanted to have a career in exercise physiology.

When I got to my final year out on placement, I realised how enormously advantageous Surrey’s emphasis on practical day-one skills is.

My foundation year was so exciting and enjoyable. The workload was manageable, and it helped me massively to start living and studying independently.

I had a fantastic time during my placement at AstraZeneca. I developed invaluable professional and scientific skills, and it inspired me to pursue a career in biopharmaceutical research and development.

I was fortunate to engage in several translation practices, receiving training in professional translation that immersed me in authentic language service scenarios". 

I began my placement not really knowing what area I wanted to go into but came out with a direction, obtained a masters in that area and now have the role of Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Surrey Scorchers.
