Finite heterotic deformations and holomorphic Courant algebroids

Charles Strickland-Constable will present recent work on the finite deformations of N=1 supersymmetric Minkowski vacua of heterotic supergravity. This links the holomorphic structures appearing in previous studies of infinitesimal moduli to the generalised geometry picture of supersymmetric backgrounds. It also rewrites the superpotential functional as an analogue of the holomorphic Chern-Simons functional on the relevant space of geometries.
