The Braithwaite Family Foundation Scholarship for Medical Physics 2023 entry

This scholarship will cover the fees of a UK student on our MSc Medical Physics programme.

About

The scholarship will cover the fees of a UK student who has been offered a place on our Medical Physics MSc programme for September 2023 entry.

Surrey’s MSc in Medical Physics is well established and includes all aspects of the modern applications of physics to medicine. We have close links with specialist teaching and regional Trust hospitals, as well as research institutes. These connections provide lecturers with up-to-date experience and outstanding opportunities for research project work.

Fee amount

This scholarship covers the full UK fees (£10,900 for 2023/24) for the one-year course.

Eligibility criteria

The scheme is open to:

  • UK applicants holding a second-class degree or higher in Physics or a related subject.

Please note

Applicants for the Braithwaite scholarship may also apply for the Teaching Assistant Scheme.

How to apply

To apply for this scholarship, please send an email to fepshelp@surrey.ac.uk with the subject "Braithwaite Scholarship", and include:

  • Your CV, including the names of two referees
  • A cover letter, explaining your motivation for applying and what interests you about medical physics.

Applicants will be shortlisted, then interviewed. If you are shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview with academic staff and members of the Braithwaite family. Interviews will take place in early September 2023.
