Travel advice
Information for planning your journey to an open day. We recommend travelling by public transport where possible.
Parking
There will be free on-campus parking available, but parking on campus is limited, so we recommend using public transport where possible. There will be signs close to campus to direct you.
- For veterinary courses: Head towards our Manor Park campus and use the Manor Park car park next to the Bright Horizon's nursery. Postcode is GU2 7XU.
- For health sciences and medicine courses: Go to the Kate Granger building on Manor Park campus. Postcode is GU2 7YH.
- For all other courses: Head to our Stag Hill campus to use our main car park. Postcode is GU2 7XH.
Our car parks are usually full by mid-morning, but there are additional pay and display car parks close to campus. Please refer to our open day parking map (PDF) for car park locations, as well as walking routes.
Please note: open day car parking is not available in the Surrey Sports Park car park, at the Research Park or Royal Surrey Hospital. These car parks are for limited stay only and are camera-controlled.
Parking for disabled visitors
If you need a disabled parking space, please ask a parking marshal when you arrive at our car parks. They'll then direct you to the most suitable place to park. There is no need to pre-book this parking.
Find out more about accessibility on campus or alternatively email us at opendays@surrey.ac.uk if you have any queries about your visit.
Train
Guildford train station is our local station. Once you arrive, hop on our free shuttle bus that will take you to the campus.
Buses
Stagecoach buses won’t be coming onto campus, the nearest stop will be the Cathedral just off campus.
Coach companies such as National Express, RailAir and FlixBus stop at Guildford train station, where we'll have a free campus shuttle bus running.
Free shuttle bus
We will have a free shuttle bus service running during the event from 8am to 5:30pm. This shuttle bus will run between Guildford train station and our two campuses, Stag Hill and Manor Park.
When arriving at Guildford train station, please look for our marshals, positioned at the front and back entrances. They will be able to direct you to our shuttle buses.
Travel reimbursement
Our travel bursary can assist with travel costs for those that fit our eligibility criteria.
