Open days travel advice

Information for planning your journey to an open day.

Roads around campus are likely to be particularly busy on these days, so please consider this when planning your journey.

Travel by train

Direct trains from London Waterloo to Guildford station take around 40 minutes.

Search for train times and tickets on the National Rail Enquiries website

Once you arrive in Guildford station, hop on our free open day shuttle bus which will leave from the front and back entrance of Guildford train station and then stop at the Piazza (Stag Hill campus), Surrey Sports Park (Manor Park campus), Vet School (Manor Park campus) and Manor Park Reception (for Health Sciences and Medicine (Graduate Entry) open day).  Buses run from 8am to 5pm.

Travel by car

If you are planning to drive to the open day, please be aware that while the A3 and the M25 will both be open, the slip roads off and on the junction won’t be. This means you won’t be able to leave or join the M25 or the A3 at junction 10. This will cause travel disruption; therefore, we recommend planning your journey in advance and leaving extra time if possible. More information can be found on the National Highways website.

The University offers free on-site parking which will be signposted. Parking on campus is limited, but there are pay and display car parks close to campus.
