Open days travel advice
Information for planning your journey to an open day.
Travel by train
We recommend travelling by public transport where possible.
Direct trains from London Waterloo to Guildford station take around 40 minutes.
Search for train times and tickets on the National Rail Enquiries website.
Once you arrive in Guildford station, hop on our free open day shuttle bus which will stop at the Piazza (Stag Hill campus), Surrey Sports Park (Manor Park campus), Vet School (Manor Park campus) and Manor Park Reception (for Health Sciences and Medicine open day). Buses run from 8am to 5pm.
Travel by bus
If you live locally, Stagecoach buses will be running but won’t be coming onto campus. The nearest stop will be the Cathedral.
Free shuttle bus
We will have a free shuttle bus service running every 15 minutes during the event. This shuttle bus will run between Guildford Train Station (Front and Back entrance), Piazza (Stag Hill campus), Surrey Sports Park (Manor Park campus), Vet School (Manor Park campus) and Manor Park Reception. Buses run from 8am to 5pm.
If you are visiting the Health Sciences and Medicine open day, you will need to get off the bus at Manor Park Reception and follow signs to Kate Granger building, a short walk away.
