Travel advice

Information for planning your journey to Surrey open day.

Getting to our campuses

By train

Guildford train station is our local station and is well connected to London and the surrounding area. From the station, you can hop on our free open day shuttle bus, which will run regularly to both Stag Hill and Manor Park campuses throughout the day.

When you arrive at Guildford train station, please look out for our open day marshals at the front and rear station entrances, who will direct you to the shuttle buses.

By bus and coach

Stagecoach buses will not be entering campus during the open day. The nearest stop is at Guildford Cathedral, just a short walk from Stag Hill campus.

Coach services including National Express, RailAir and FlixBus stop at Guildford train station, where our free open day shuttle bus service will be running throughout the day between our Stag Hill and Manor Park campuses.

By car

Parking on our campuses is free of charge for Surrey open day visitors, but spaces are limited, so we recommend using public transport where possible. Follow the signs on approach to the University and parking marshals will be on hand to direct you on arrival.

Please refer to our open day parking map (PDF) for car park locations, as well as walking routes.

Please note that open day car parking is not available at Surrey Sports Park, the Research Park or Royal Surrey County Hospital. These car parks are for limited stay only and are camera-controlled.

Accessible parking

Accessible parking spaces are available and do not need to be pre-booked. If you are a Blue Badge holder, please speak to one of our parking marshals on arrival who will direct you to the most suitable parking area.

Find out more about accessibility on campus or alternatively email us at opendays@surrey.ac.uk if you have any questions ahead of your visit.
