A graduate of Biomedical Science (Obstetrics and Gynaecological Sciences), Advance Clinical Practice (Midwifery) and Nurse Education. NMC (UK) Registered Lecturer/Practice Educator and Adult Nurse, with a postgraduate Diploma in Tropical Nursing; and years of teaching and clinical practice experience in UK and Nigeria.
I worked as a Lecturer in Applied Biological Sciences and Theme Lead, Department of Applied Biological Sciences at City University of London, before joining the University of Surrey in 2015.
My hope and aspiration is to impact the future of Healthcare Education and Clinical practice, drawing on the application of the underpinning biological sciences.

Human Reproduction, Maternal and Child Health and the Application of science to healthcare professional practice.
PARTNERS (PARents Together in Nutrition Exercise inteRconception) Study
MSc Biomedical Science (O&G), Middlesex University London, UK. 2012 – Dissertation Summary: Expression of proteoglycans in placenta. This involved a laboratory-based exploration of the expression of Syndecans 1 and 3 (proteoglycans) in human placental samples using immunohistochemistry technique, with a view to establishing their involvement in the development of pre-eclampsia, a major pregnancy complication.
MSc (Advance Clinical Practice (Midwifery), University of Surrey, Guildford, UK. 1998 – Dissertation Summary: Triggers of normal labour.
