My research project
Innovation in airport infrastructure to achieve Net ZeroAdopting a systems thinking approach, looking deep within and outside the boundaries of the airport, this projects aims to help Heathrow address the challenges set out in its carbon strategy. A range of infrastructure interventions will be assessed with the potential to cut carbon across the airport. Utilising various data sources and validating plans with airport stakeholders will ensure that these interventions are targeted in order to capture the most appropriate benefits. The ultimate outcome will be tested, replicable methodologies for the benefit of all airport operators.
Areas of focus: Infrastructure, Low Carbon Construction, Zero Emission Vehicle, Net Zero Transition.
