"I like to explore educational choices through sociological theories"
"I have always been fascinated with the choices people make with regards to their education, so in my research into student international mobility I like to explore educational choices through sociological theories as it allows for an understanding of how individual choices affect structural patterns in our wider society.
My supervisors always give me good feedback and constructive criticism, which I see as vitally important for improving my own writing and development. We are also lucky to have a PGR Research Director who organises departmental seminars specifically for PG research students.
These sessions are great and can range from topics such as negotiating ethical issues in your research to getting published. This also allows research students to talk to one another about our successes (and failures) within our own projects."
