Doing a PhD with us will allow you to use our nationally and internationally recognised facilities to test the cutting-edge of science and make new discoveries.

The Doctoral College supports the academic and professional development of postgraduate researchers to ensure our world-leading research continues to grow. There is also an extensive Researcher Development Programme run at university level.

Facilities
We house facilities for various research such as quasi-static, dynamic and fatigue experiments as well as processing of functional ceramic powders and functional ink formulation and deposition.
