Business breakfasts at Surrey

MBA alumni are invited to a series of business breakfasts at the Surrey campus to hear the experiences of fellow graduates and industry professionals, and have the opportunity to network and also meet current students.

The inaugural event welcomed graduate Gavin Whichello as speaker. Gavin has funded fast-growth technology businesses and taken executive roles to aid those companies in the early stages of development prior to public offering.

Our October event on Friday 23 October, features alumnus John Bigos who credits his MBA for changing his business perspective – he left his career as a successful director at an architectural practice to take over London Duck Tours.

November’s speaker is still to be confirmed, but December we will welcome MBA graduates Andy Berry, Chief Executive of Touraid, and Sarah de Carvalho MBE, Chief Executive and founder of Happy Child International, who will talk about leading voluntary sector organisations and the specific impacts their charities make.

The business breakfasts are held on the third Friday of every month, from 8.30-10am. If you would like to attend, please contact MBA Director Christine Rivers at c.rivers@surrey.ac.uk.

Tell us your story - we would also be very interested to hear from any Surrey MBA graduates who would like to share their own career stories and offer valuable insights into business at a future breakfast in 2016. Contact your alumni officer Lucy Evans at l.a.evans@surrey.ac.uk if you would like to become one of our future guest speakers.
