Business and Economics ranked 90th in the latest Times Higher Education rankings, with Social Sciences ranked 100 in the world. Engineering and Technology (top 150), Computer Science (top 200) and Arts and Humanities (top 250) have all been highly rated, with the University of Surrey itself ranked among the top universities in the world. In the latest rankings, released on 27 November, Physical Sciences has been ranked in the top 251-300.

These latest positions follow the recent National Taiwan University Rankings, which named the University of Surrey as one of the best in the world for scientific research for Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Social Science and Civil Engineering research.

Professor Vincent Emery, Senior Vice-President at the University of Surrey, said: “These results reinforce the passion and commitment we have to provide first class courses that are internationally recognised as being among the best in the world.

“We are dedicated to becoming a university known for its world-class research and its dedication to teaching, and these latest rankings demonstrate our key strengths in both areas.”
