We are looking for enthusiastic Postgraduate students who would be keen to develop their research into inspiring and interactive educational sessions for students in years 5-13 (ages 9-18). These sessions would be delivered as part of the Widening Participation programme of events. Not only would this give you the opportunity to disseminate your research and develop your confidence, communication and presentation skills but also the chance to inspire students and help them to experience new and exciting topics which could ultimately influence their future choices.
To apply to take part in this project please complete the online application form which can be found here.
You will be asked to provide us with a proposal of a 1-hour long session that you would be keen to deliver, as well as the year group it is designed for. Please make sure to highlight the key educational learning points as well as provide an overview of what you would cover in your session.
If your application is successful, you will be invited to present your ideas further to members of the Widening Participation team who will then discuss your session with you in more detail.
You will be paid for your preparation time and delivery for each event.
Applications close on Monday 9th October at 12pm and you will hear if you have been successful no later than the Friday 13th October.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss your research presentation ideas please contact Widening Participation team before the date above.
