International students to benefit from Surrey’s Prestige Scholarship

More students than ever will be eligible for the University of Surrey’s improved and expanded Prestige Scholarship, available for 2019 entry, providing another great reason for international students to study at Surrey.

The Surrey Prestige Scholarship is available on all full-time degree programmes for students achieving at least AAB A level grades or equivalent, and entitles them to an award of £2,500 in the form of a tuition fee waiver – or £5,000 if they opt to study hospitality and tourism management.

The Surrey Prestige Scholarship and Surrey Hospitality and Tourism Management Prestige Scholarship are available to all direct-entry overseas fee payers from any country, making it one of the most comprehensive UK university scholarships available. In previous years, students needed to gain a minimum of AAA grades and come from certain countries to be eligible for the Prestige Scholarship.

The University of Surrey is proud to be one of the most culturally diverse universities in the UK, with over 37 per cent of students from outside the UK in 2016-17. Our friendly, supportive community is made up of students from more than 140 nationalities, demonstrating our excellent reputation with international students, parents and schools.

Surrey offers a high level of support for its international students throughout their time at the University. Our International Student Support team is on-hand to provide up-to-date advice on issues such as visas, part-time working regulations, and planning for family and friends to visit. The team also organises events throughout the year including welcome and orientation events, an end-of-year lunch and opportunities to explore Guildford and beyond.
