Based on current research, this applied evidence-based course has been designed for senior retail executives, retail pricing managers, as well as, representatives from industry who support or want to understand retail pricing better.

Participants on the first cohort will come together with a network of like-minded people to gain a strategic and operational perspective of pricing decisions in retailing as well as directly applicable skills to optimise retail pricing in their own environments.

“Price is the strongest driver of profit, but sadly many companies spend too much time with running sales activities and trying to reduce costs, rather than putting the effort in to hit the sweet spot on price. Many organisations are focussed on increasing profit by increasing volume. However, in many retail sectors, this can only be done by taking market share of your competitor, leading to tough price competition, we recommend trying to increase profit through pricing rather than volume.”

Professor Sabine Benoit, Academic Director of the Professional Retail Pricing Management Programme at Surrey Business School.
