The Foundation Year has made me much more confident academically and personally. The skills we were taught, including how to write essays and how to reference, have been a great help in the first year.

I attended an Open Day and knew straight away that this was where I wanted to be. I really appreciated how welcoming and safe Surrey’s campus felt – I got a real sense of community and belonging.

I’ve been offered a job from my placement for when I graduate next year!

Surrey has great employability ratings for graduates and it was a good location for me. I also liked the layout and feel of the campus, I knew I would be comfortable and feel safe.

I've had the privilege of making friends that I now consider as close as family, and I'm grateful to Surrey for providing me with the chance to continually connect with new people.

My placement was an inspiring, unforgettable experience which has made me want to push myself as much as possible during my studies, after seeing how important work in psychology can be.

I have already secured a job as a social scientist at Forest Research. It’s a great role where I can apply lots of what I've learnt from my studies to real research.
