Information for visitors parking at the University of Surrey.
Pay-and-display car park
Visitors may park in the pay-and-display car park which is signposted from the main entrance to the University. The current parking charges are:
- Up to 1 hour: 80 pence
- Up to 2 hours: £1.50
- Up to 4 hours: £4.60
- More than 4 hours: £6.90
Please note that the pay and display machines:
- Only accept coins
- Do not give change
- Do not accept credit or debit cards.
Visitors can pay to park in the pay and display car park through the Ringo app using a mobile phone. To use the app, simply download Ringo on to your phone, submit your details and then start your session.
Visitors with a visitor parking permit
Visitors who have been issued with a visitor parking permit by their host faculty or department should park in the University's main car park. If you intend to visit the University after 5pm on weekdays or any time at weekends, please note that a parking permit/pay-and-display ticket is not required.
Blue badge holders should park in an available disabled bay (marked on the disabled access campus map above) and clearly display their badge. Unfortunately, we can't reserve a disabled space in advance, as this could inhibit the regular members of our community who use the bays. Visitors who are unable to find a suitable space should make themselves known to the Security Office, located on the ground floor of Senate House, who will do all they can to accommodate the visitor as close to their intended building as possible.
