We offer free parking on both Stag Hill campus and Manor Park campus for our visitors to attend open days. If you are attending an on open day, view our open day parking information to find out where to park.

Pay-and-display car park

There is limited parking available in the pay and display car park, which uses the Ringo app, Google/Apple pay and payment with card at the pay station, we also have Pay to Park by Ringo in the Central car park formerly known as the Lakeside car park and the East car park formerly known as Millenium car park. To use the app, simply download Ringo onto your phone, submit your details and then start your session.

Late pay option: if a person has forgotten to pay they can go into the Ringo app and pay up until midnight on the same day. This facility is only available through Ringo and none of the other payment options.

Visitors may park in the pay-and-display car park which is signposted from the main entrance to the University. The current parking charges are:

  • Up to 1 hour: £1.20
  • Up to 2 hours: £2.40
  • Up to 4 hours: £4.80
  • More than 4 hours: £7.20.

Please note that the pay and display machines:

  • Accept coins and cards
  • Do not give change.

The Pay and Display car park and Pay to Park car parks are ANPR-controlled. There is a 15 minute grace period in these car parks, if you are waiting for a space, you need to ensure you add this time to your ticket.  If you are unsuccessful in finding a space and you have been in the car park more than 15 minutes, you will need to pay for the time you have been there.

Visitors with a visitor parking permit

Visitors who have been issued with a visitor parking permit by their host faculty or department should park in the University's main car park. If you intend to visit the University after 5pm on weekdays or any time at weekends, please note that a parking permit/pay-and-display ticket is not required.

Blue badge holders should park in an available disabled bay (marked on the disabled access campus map above) and clearly display their badge. Unfortunately, we can't reserve a disabled space in advance, as this could inhibit the regular members of our community who use the bays. Visitors who are unable to find a suitable space should make themselves known to the Security Office, located on the ground floor of Senate House, who will do all they can to accommodate the visitor as close to their intended building as possible.
