Research excellence

60 per cent of our computer science and informatics research was rated world leading or internationally excellent in the latest UK Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014). Surrey has risen to 22nd place among 106 institutions for ‘Research Power.’

Studentships
Fully-funded PhD Studentships for specified projects in Computer Science
Funding information:
Each PhD studentship comes with UKRI stipend (£16,062 from October 2022), plus £3,000, per annum, and tuition fees covered, for 3.5 years full-time or 7 years, at half rates, part-time. A £3,000 budget is also provided for research expenses. This is for UK, and settled EU, candidates - international candidates are welcome to apply but will need to cover the difference between UK and overseas fees.Fully-funded PhD Studentships in Computer Science
