During the Autumn and Spring semesters we run a varied programme of careers related events. Many of these are employer led workshops and skills sessions which are open to all students. A full listing of our events will appear on Surrey Pathfinder.
The sessions cover key employability skills such as:
- Interview techniques
- Video interviews
- Assessment centre workshops
- Networking practice
- CV writing
- Using social media apps such as LinkedIn to find graduate roles.
In May and October we host two large careers fairs designed to attract a wide range of employers offering graduate roles, placements, and part-time work opportunities. Peppered throughout both semesters, we run a selection of mini fairs including a Law Fair, a Nursing Fair, a Part-Time Work Fair and an Internship Fair.
For a more individual approach our careers advisers offer 15-minute quick query sessions and bookable 30 to 60 minute individual careers advice including interview preparation, career and job searching strategy consultations. Visit our office to book these sessions with our receptionist.
Visit our events calendar for an up to date listing of all the events we are currently running and book your places.
