Two of our alumni have been in touch to let us know about their new publications.
Felix Dodds, who graduated in Physics in 1979, has two books coming out this year. The first is published next month, entitled ‘The Water, Food, Energy and Climate Nexus: Challenges and an Agenda for Action’, co-edited with Surrey alumnus Dr Jamie Bartam (BSc Microbiology 1985, PhD 1996). The foreword is written by Prince Charles.
Felix’s second is out at the end of September, co-written with David Donoghue, the Irish Ambassador to the UN, and Jimena Leiva Roesch, former Guatemalan negotiator at the UN: ‘Negotiating the Sustainable Development Goals: A transformational agenda for an insecure world’. Ambassador Donoghue was the co-chair of the SDG negotiations which heads of state agreed in September last year.
Finally, Dr Martina Nieswandt, who graduated with a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) in 2012, has published ‘Fast Cultural Change’ by Palgrave, which examines the role and influence of middle management
