Donations aid Surrey's digital revolution

Surrey has been able to fully embrace the opportunities presented by the digital age thanks to a philanthropically-supported podcasting scheme.

Rolled out by the Student Personal Learning and Study Hub (SPLASH) and Library and Learning Support Services, the podcasting station allows students to access online tutorials.

The development, which benefited from Annual Fund support, has also helped Surrey provide new resources to recruit and assist students from non-traditional backgrounds.

Dr Alistair Morey said: "Online resources are still a new area, but it represents an interesting way to complement our core activity, reach more students and make advice available to them when staff are not available."
