First cohort of Sport and Exercise Science students graduate

The first intake of students for the University of Surrey's Sport and Exercise Science programme have graduated with flying colours.

This year has seen the first cohort of our BSc Sport and Exercise Science programme graduate. The students have experienced exceptional success throughout their degree, with many gaining vocational qualifications and others securing competitive places on MSc programmes and PhD studentships.

As well as celebrating individual successes, these students have collectively left an important legacy. They have been instrumental in shaping the programme and helping to raise its profile. The BSc Sport and Exercise Science programme has successfuly established itself in a very competitive market, and it is currently ranked 8th out of 85 universities for sport science in the Complete University Guide 2018.

Programme Directors Dr Julie Hunt and Dr Ralph Manders, commented: "On behalf of the sport and exercise science academic team we would like to say that we are so grateful for the trust you placed in us, and incredibly proud of what we have achieved collectively over the last three years.”
