Maths graduate jobs

Mathematics and statistics are central to many careers in science, technology and finance.

The logical insight, analytical skills and intellectual discipline gained from a maths degree are highly sought after in areas such as law, business and management, and there is a strong demand for new mathematics teachers to meet the ongoing shortage in schools.

Recent Surrey graduates have entered employment in roles such as Pricing Analyst at Allianz, Global Operations Analyst at Barclays and Graduate Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Others have gone on to postgraduate education, either to obtain a teaching qualification or to read for a higher degree, such as an MSc or PhD.
