An Introduction to NIHR & RDS SE Support at the University of Surrey

The Research Design Service South East (RDS SE) will be running a Research Support Workshop for staff and NHS Trust members, tailored specifically to applications to the NIHR (National Institute for Health Research).


The workshop will be aimed at all levels of academic and research staff who would like to hear an up to date account of NIHR's funding schemes, fellowships and support offered by the RDS Team. The workshop will be led by Bernadette Egan, Senior Research Fellow & Academic Lead for the NIHR Research Design Service.

Date:    Thursday, 12th June 2014
Time:   10.15 – 14:00

The programme for the morning will include:

  • An overview of NIHR
  • An overview of RDS SE and support provided by the RDS Team
  • NIHR funding opportunities and fellowships
  • Patient and public involvement
  • Case studies
  • 1 to 1 sessions with a member of the RDS Team

1 to 1 sessions can be on a 1 to 1 basis or as a small group meeting. When applying for the 1 to 1 sessions please advise me what it is you're interested to discuss with the RDS Team. A time will be allocated to you on a first come, first serve basis and a session will last 20 minutes.
