Screens help library Stand Out to students
A hi-tech method of providing important information to students has been made possible thanks to the Annual Fund.
Under the Stand Out project, a free-standing LCD sign complete with its own inbuilt computer, Windows software and Wi-Fi capability, has been installed in the Library and Learning Resource Centre.
The electronic display is operated by a wireless keyboard and can be used to display text, images, slides and video clips, each of which can be scheduled to appear at pre-specified times.
Jenny Treherne, Head of Library User Services and Systems, said: "We are very grateful to have received this donation and, as usual, we have managed to improve the students' experience in regard to communicating information on a daily basis."
