The National Resource Centre for Dance (NRCD) was founded in 1982 with the aim of providing support services to dance education and research. It does this through two main areas of work: courses and publications for dance teaching and study; and an archive collection which is open to researchers and is actively utilised in research projects. Full details of all our activities and services are available on this site.
The NRCD supports dance teaching through its programme of professional development activities.
The NRCD produces resource packs, books, DVDs, videos, fact cards, directories and bibliographies.
The archive of the National Resource Centre for Dance represents a wide range of theatrical, educational, and theoretical dance development and activity in the UK.
The National Resource Centre for Dance has a number of ongoing projects ranging from the Warren Lamb Archive to Pioneer Women.
