Local residents tour

On 29 March 2017 a group representing several local resident associations visited campus.

They were given a presentation and an opportunity to hear about our 50 years in Guildford and 125 year overall history. This was led by our Archive and Collections team, with a special guest in our now retired Professor Alf Adams came to tell our visitors  about his famous and award winning work on strained-layer quantum well lasers.

The afternoon progressed with a tour of the new Innovation for Health building and then across to the School of Veterinary Medicine on Manor Park for coffee and a view of and discussion around the 1200 new student residences being built.

Thank you for giving us so much of your time. It was an excellent afternoon and very informative. Please would you pass thanks on to your colleagues who also gave of their time yesterday.

If you or your local group would like to visit campus please do contact our Public Engagement Manager by email on: or by telephone: 01483 686848.
