COMFOCUS will enable the food consumer science community to make the next steps to become the data-driven science that can support evidence-based public food policies and private strategies, as well as the academic research community more adequately.

Aims and objectives

To integrate key European research infrastructures in the inherently multidisciplinary field of food consumer science, in order to promote their optimal use and joint development by:

  • Providing the academic and private research community with easy virtual and transnational access to high quality services and resources.
  • Harmonising and professionalising the European food consumer science community (harmonised data-rich science)

Increasing the business and policy relevance of food consumer science insights, by building on FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Inter-operable & Re-usable) and Responsible Research & Innovation (RRI) data principles.
