The School of Health Sciences has devised a series of study days which respond to requests from practice and support the NMC revalidation agenda.
About our study days
Study days are a flexible and affordable option which support personal development. They are ideal if you haven’t studied for a while, simply want an update in a specific area or don’t feel you want or need a full module with associated academic credits.
It is possible for written reflections on study days to be grouped together and submitted for consideration of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and to gain academic credit retrospectively.
If you cannot see a study day that meets your needs, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and your query will be directed to an appropriate member of staff.
Supporting learners in practice (SLiP)
Practice supervisor and practice assessor
We are pleased to announce the development of our educational provision for Supporting Learners in Practice (SLiP) within the School of Health Sciences for:
- Practice supervisor
- Practice assessor.
These two roles are based on the new NMC Standards for “Student Supervision and Assessment” published in May 2018. The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registrants are encouraged to engage in this provision to ensure the delivery of safe and effective learning experiences.
Download the Supporting learners in practice flyer (PDF) for full details.
Please note: these study days replace the Mentorship module.
