I was attracted to Surrey because of its reputation, location and diverse courses. The campus life was fantastic with beautiful green surroundings. I remember having great teachers and I’ve made friends for life. My course was amazing; I learned so much during my years at Surrey. The guest teachers were so interesting and the workshops were always fun but challenging.
LIFE AFTER SURREY
I am now a full-time writer. My career highlight so far is publishing my first novel called ‘Care for Me’, with Hodder Studio, which is a psychological thriller, out now. I am currently working on my next novel of the same genre.
My time studying Creative Writing at Surrey motivated me to become a full-time writer. The course was exactly what I needed to realise my dream and write full-time. To any students aspiring to do the same, I would say: 'don’t be afraid'. Believe in yourself and create a solid network that supports your ambition.
