"I really love my academic studies and life at Surrey. Choosing Surrey is the best decision I have ever made."
CourseMarketing Management MSc
"I studied Business Management and International Business Management during my undergraduate years, and after that I found my interest in marketing and decided to continue my education in this area. I really love the course arrangement of MSc Marketing Management at the University of Surrey, including the focus on digital marketing and social media. This is what I wanted to learn and knew it could help me lay a solid foundation for my career. Surrey is really willing to listen to students and cares about student feedback, even if they cannot solve the problem at once. This is one of most important reasons why I chose Surrey. Surrey also has a good location, so I can do an internship in London to combine the theory I learn with practice.
On my course, I can learn about social media and digital marketing, which is becoming more and more important in the digital era. The assessment of my subject consists of group coursework, and group crowdfunding rather than simple individual coursework and examinations. This opportunity to do group work is the part of my course I enjoy most; for example, we have raised funds for children with disabilities.
Surrey’s campus is a typical example of how to take good advantage of limited space. The residents here are warm and always willing to help you. I received a lot of kindness when I first arrived. I also love the fruit and vegetable fair that’s on every Thursday at the Students’ Union.
"The experience of being a course rep has enhanced my overall ability, including communication and presentation skills."
When I graduate, I would like to find a job in marketing. The experience of being a course rep has enhanced my overall ability, including communication skills, presentation skills, leadership and so on.
I have attended the career fairs and events held by Surrey and made appointments with the careers service to modify my CV and covering letter. These could all contribute to my future career.
