Course

Musical Theatre MFA

Entry year

2017

“I chose to study this particular course simply for the love of the subject. Guildford School of Acting (GSA) is also a part of the University and it offers some of the best training in the country, so for me it was the obvious choice.

Theatre isn’t just for entertainment, it does so much more than that. For the people directly involved and for those that view it, it has the ability to say something about the world we live in and has the potential to actively make a change. Working with industry professionals on a day-to-day basis is amazing.

"When your personal tutor still directs shows across the UK and your dance teacher has just finished a run of shows at the National Theatre, it allows you to feel even more connected to the industry and gives you the opportunity to learn and grow from them. "

The staff are amazing and will give their all to ensure your success, especially as we as students are working to do the same. They will often give up their evenings and even weekends for you and your work.

The confidence I have gained in myself and my abilities throughout my time at GSA has developed so much. I feel ready to take the next step in my life and make the transition into industry.

My proudest achievement during my studies would have to be writing and creating a three-person cabaret from scratch and performing it live at the Zédel, one of London’s top cabaret venues, while being mentored by the amazing cabaret artist, Gary Williams.”
