About
Biography
Melissa spent fifteen years in business, mainly focused on innovation, developing new products and mentoring entrepreneurs, during which time she also completed a Masters in Creative Talents and Solutions. After becoming a fulltime author Melissa was the Leverhulme Trust 2016 Writer in Residence for the British Library, a guest blogger over three months for Mslexia writing magazine and developed an HG Wells' themed poster trail for the Imagine arts festival.
Currently Melissa is studying for a PhD in Creative Writing at Surrey which includes writing The Garden of Perfect Brightness, a novel set in 1700s China. She also runs workshops at the British Library.
