Our evening language classes are taught on our Stag Hill campus, on level 3 of the Library and the Lewis Carroll Building (AC). We recommend heading to the Library before finding your classroom.

How to get to the University

Find the Library

By car

Parking is free after 5pm in our main car park on Stag Hill campus.

  1. Come out of the main car park and cross the zebra crossing towards the Austin Pearce Building (AP) and Rik Medlik Building (RM) where the main bus stops are outside the plaza.
  2. Cut diagonally across the plaza and head on the footpath to the right of the Austin Pearce Building entrance.
  3. At the end of the path, take a left and carry straight on until you reach the road.
  4. Take a right and outside the front of the AQA Building (by the small roundabout), cross the road.
  5. Carry straight on and follow the road round to the left.
  6. You will then come to the main entrance of the Library by the Simply Fresh shop.

By train

If you are arriving here from the train station by foot, we recommend you come via Walnut Tree Close.

  1. Exit the train station using the main entrance (next to platform 1).
  2. Take a left past the taxi rank and follow the path round to Walnut Tree Close.
  3. Take a left on the main road and walk straight until you come to a left turn just past Kwik Fit Plus and directly opposite Addisons Glass and Windscreens Limited.
  4. Turn left and walk uphill towards Yorkies footbridge.
  5. Go over the bridge and enter campus.
  6. Cross the road and take the diagonal path uphill past our student accommodation. You will then come to the Students' Union Building.
  7. With the Students' Union Building to your right, keep going uphill until you get to the Hillside Restaurant.
  8. Go past the Hillside Restaurant and follow the path round past Blackwater, Thames and Wey Houses (on the left).
  9. Keep following that path until you get to the Library.

By bus

Stagecoach buses run regularly to and from the campus. The closest bus stop to the Library is outside the Edward Jenner Building (AX), opposite the lake.

From the bus stop:

  1. Walk up the hill towards Senate House and Stag Hill Reception.
  2. Take the steps up on the left of Senate House and then those to your immediate right.
  3. Continue straight, past the MySurrey hive towards the Lecture Theatre Building.
  4. Take a left at the Lecture Theatre Building and then an immediate right, up another flight of stairs.
  5. Continue straight on and the Library will be on your right-hand side.

Find your classroom

In the Library

  1. Enter the Library and you will see a shop on the ground floor and a seating area on the right.
  2. Go straight ahead and to your left you will find a lift and a staircase.
  3. Take either of these to Level 3.

In the Lewis Carroll Building (AC)

  1. Enter the Library and you will see a shop on the ground floor and a seating area on the right.
  2. Go straight ahead through the doors next to the Appleseed Bookshop and into the building opposite.
  3. Take the stairs to Level 3.
