School of Literature and Languages

Our focus is on understanding how texts and languages work across national boundaries, how they function, and how they interact. We bring together the academic disciplines of English literature, creative writing, film studies, modern languages, linguistics, intercultural communication and translation studies.

We have an international reputation for interdisciplinary research in literature, languages, linguistics and intercultural communication.

As a business, you can become a professional Training placement provider with us and recruit students with a good knowledge of professional communication and problem solving, with excellent writing skills. You can also take advantage of our CPD and short courses to upskill your workforce.
