Review of training delivered by West Surrey Health Promotion Service across the local health economy

Summary

West Surrey Health Promotion Service (WSHPS) delivers training programmes based on the individual needs of client groups (e.g. teachers, youth workers, caterers, carers). As the Services move to be hosted by Primary Care Trusts, a need has arisen to assess the needs of local staff and client groups. The objectives of the review are to determine whether current training provision is: in line with policies, objectives and priorities of the WSHPS in developing and informing a wider public health understanding of national and local strategies and policies and being delivered at satisfactory standards. The review also addresses whether the training programme produced publicises training; training charges; administrative procedures; venues; the timing; evaluation and monitoring of training.
