Biography
Deval Bhamare is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science. Deval obtained his PhD from IIT Bombay, India and Monash University, Australia. Prior to this he obtained his Master of Science from University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA.
Deval has served as postdoctoral research fellow at Qatar University, Qatar and Karlstad University, Sweden. Deval has also served as a member of editorial board for various IEEE conferences such as International Conference on Wired/Wireless Internet Communications (WWIC) and IEEE Conference on Network Function Virtualization and Software Defined Networks (NFV-SDN) etc. He has been in the reviewer panel for quite a few top-ranked journals and conferences.
Deval’s areas of research include cloud computing, optimization, NFV-SDN, machine learning and related fields and has supervised many masters and PhD level projects in the domain of his expertise.

He is interested in projects like network optimzation such as inside network (In-Net) caching using DPDK, in-net load balancing, optimal resource allocations, machine learning for classification and predictions etc.
Deval is working/has worked on the following projects:
- Automated Delivery and Optimal Placement for Cloud-Based Internet Services
- IntOpt: In-band Network Telemetry optimization framework to monitor network slices using P4
- OpenADN: Middleware architecture for cloud-based services
- Machine Learning techniques for Network Enhancements.
