A new alumni network bringing together an international group of peers excelling in their fields. Surrey Leaders will have access to three years of personal development opportunities including masterclasses, workshops and preferential access to University events.
The Surrey Leaders network has been made possible by a generous gift from YS Chi, Honorary Graduate and member of the University’s campaign board.
About Surrey Leaders
As a Surrey Leader, you will benefit from:

- The opportunity to build your leadership contacts further as we recruit 30+ new alumni leaders per year and expand this impactful network
Surrey Leaders launched in June 2024 and the first masterclass will take place on Saturday 5 October.
- You will be invited to two in-person learning and development or networking opportunities, and two online events per year
- Participation is not accredited
- You will also be offered preferential opportunities to access other University events, talks and activities that may interest you
- There will be optional opportunities to meet or mentor current Surrey students and/or recent graduates, many of whom might be just the future talent you've been looking for
Next event
The SurreyLeaders masterclass is back.
On Friday we'll offer an optional tour of Manor Park and Stag Hill campuses before heading to dinner at the Brooklands Hotel.
On Saturday the group will enjoy a full day or workshops, networking and talks from guest speakers.

Surrey Leaders launch
We officially launched the Surrey Leaders network on 3 June 2024 at a special event held in the Palace of Westminster. It was a fantastic evening that also included the awarding of the 2023 Vice Chancellor's Alumni Awards.
It was the first time that we gathered some of the Surrey Leaders together and attendees had the opportunity to speak with YS Chi whose generous gift has enabled this network to be created.
