Living lab
Surrey’s Living Lab coordinates numerous projects based on sustainability, urban living and life-long health. Addressing real-world issues, these Living Lab projects use the surrounding area as a test-bed and engage the local community.

Untangle inter-links between quorum sensing, c-di-GMP and EPS production for mixed-culture biofilm growth
This project aims to investigate inter-links of interspecies-level (QS) and intercellular-level (c-di-GMP) regulation and EPS production in anammox-heterotroph biofilms, using real-time gene sequencing analysis to identify commensal species.
